Let’s talk textbooks! What are your recommended textbooks for teaching kids, young adults, business people etc.? I have been using the Interchange series for years and keen to hear what others’ experiences are.

I’m a big fan of the Business Result series myself as it is quite adaptable, especially for business clients.

Depends on the area of English that you are teaching. For business, I am a big fan of the Market Leader series. For General English, I would go with Top Notch and Empower. Interchange is good for General English.

I’ve used Interchange and found it to be pretty solid for general English but my personal favorite was National Geographic World English for purely selfish reasons. It might not be the most useful teaching resource from a student perspective but it is definitely the prettiest and most interesting textbook I’ve come across. Every lesson had interesting topics, awesome photos, and short documentary style videos that supplemented the reading material.

I like Top Notch from Pearson.
